Put safe decisions first
The safety test focuses on isolation, PPE, stored energy and the first action to take before technical work begins.
Prepare to manage hot-work hazards, secure gas cylinders, select PPE, clean joints, position the return clamp and recognise defects such as porosity and cracks.

- Complete every question without checking an answer elsewhere.
- Read the reason for every incorrect answer in your result.
- Practise weak skills hands-on with competent supervision.

Control combustible materials, sparks, fumes and nearby workers before striking an arc.
